Welcome to Cat & Crescent Beauty Lounge. We are a small, independently owned business in the heart of Downtown Castlegar, BC, built around the concepts of high-level services, detailed communication, and treating our clients with warmth and respect.
Our approach is fairly straightfoward: we strive to understand your wants and needs, and ensure that we book adequate time to meet those needs to a high standard. We don't rush appointments, double-book, or try to squeeze complicated services into whatever time happens to be available.
Our Beauty Lounge is a little different, too. We built our purple oasis from the ground up with the goal of creating a space that feels beautiful, comfortable, professional, and exceptionally clean. We care a lot about the experience, but we care just as much about the technical side of what we do.
Sara - Certified Hairstylist
Sara is currently accepting new clients for all hair services.
For haircuts and styles, you can book online or contact the salon by phone. We price our haircuts by length, not by outdated metrics of age or gender.
For custom hair colour, we start with a consultation. Colour services can involve very different amounts of time, product, and planning, all depending on your starting point and your goals. With that in mind, we don't offer a standard colour menu and expect you to pick the one that's closest to your dream hair and hope for the best. Instead, we make room to create a perfectly customized service to give you exactly what you're looking for.
You have two options:
Online Consultation - Free
Fill out our Online Colour Consultation Form and Sara will personally review your information. Then, she will reach out with any remaining questions and booking info for your colour appointment.
In-Person Consultation - $60
Prefer to skip the online form? You can book a full In-Person Colour Consultation instead. This gives Sara the opportunity to see your hair in person, discuss your goals, go through your colour history, and build a realistic plan with you, and also gives you the chance to ask any questions you might have.
Sara does not offer up-dos or special event hairstyling.
Jess - Nail Technician & Certified Master Pedicurist
Jess is currently not accepting new manicure clients. Her manicure wait list is also full.
She is accepting new pedicure clients, so if you're looking for amazing foot care, you're welcome to book with Jess. Please note that Jess' services are available to adult clients only. We are happy to recommend another professional who does perform manicures/pedicures for the younger folk!
Booking & Contact
Appointments can be booked online or by telephone.
We don't book appointments or accept inquiries through social media messages or text messages. Those channels are easy to miss, difficult to keep organized, and not a good place to keep track of the information we need for your appointment.
Please note that when a service is in progress, we cannot accommodate detailed conversations about another client's service or needs. We want to give the person in our chair our full attention, and we want to give you that same attention when it's your turn.
If you need to discuss a service, have questions about what we offer, or need help figuring out what to book, please use the online booking tool, give us a call, or stop in and see if we are free for a chat. That way we can dedicate our attention to you, ask the right questions, and make sure you get booked into the right service with the right amount of time.
